I just loved this little ruffle sleeve top I saw on Sparkle Power's blog. I just knew I wanted to sew some of those gorgeous ruffles.
I have had this fabric for a long time and actually had it earmarked for a dress but I thought the little flowers would be perfect for a top instead. I have actually made two of these today. One for Ellyse, and one for her little friend. Her friend's mum helps me out a lot, she is only a new friend this year but one I think I might have for a long time even though the girls will be going to different schools next year.
Anyway here is my gorgeous girl modelling the top and checking the twirl factor - of which there isn't any.
Now what to sew next? Just so happens that Ellyse bought out a pair of shorts I made Ashton last year and wanted to know if they would still fit him. Well they didn't and that gave me my next sewing project. I have some similar fabric I picked up from Spotlight on sale so I will have to get the pattern from my girlfriend and get sewing.

You are definitely on a roll. That top is very cute and I love the ruffles.
Hi Andrea, I am so glad you commented on my blog! I hadn't checked all my old EB blog girls blogs for ages, cept Retromummy and Lottielulu of course! I thought that was nice of you to remember us renovating! I am so glad I clicked on your facebook link (added you as a friend too by the way) to check out what you've done to your house! Wow, it is fantastic and so much like what we are doing. The first thing I saw is the bathroom, same colours, vanity etc as what we are having, tiles sitting downstairs!! We have just got back from a big holiday to NZ and are about to tackle our extension finally. I remember that you had gorgeous tropical gardens, that was your DH's area I think. I have started on mine also and hope they turn into something lovely! Loooove your kitchen, vinyl wraps, splashback is so nice, what is your benchtop? Love the plantation shutter idea for your new office. You've done a massive job that's for sure. Will keep posted on Facebook, you've inspired me to get going with ours!
lol how funny that we've used the same tute in our latest sewing! I love the top you've made, I like how your straps are bigger too. I followed the downsized instructions for my little miss, but think I'll have a bit of a play with the wider straps next time. Great to see you sewing again too!
I love that top - I might have a go at that too, now that I've got my machine out again. It must be something in the spring air that gets us all crafting again. Great to see you blogging again and I love your latest creations!
Thanks for the comments, and Suz it is great to hear from you. Go on and make those tops, they are so quick to whip up, I am sure I will be making some more as gifts.
Leah, I hace accepted you as a friend (as you would know) and I will send you a message on FB when I get a minute.
