It doesn't look as bad as your post said. Might not look like the top you intended it to be, but it is original! Maybe you can fold the collar down in half and sew it so it doesn't stand up as much?
I agree not as bad as what you said in yur post. Had a chuckle though as I hate it when things you think are going to be great turn out a bit oddly shaped. Love the look on her face though, she seems happy with it.
Such a cute photo - she doesn't seem to mind at all! I agree with novy, you could fold the collar and then topstich it down?
I was thinking about this the other day and I wonder if it would work with a reverse fabric.
